I have a decent 15" Philips LCD monitor. But I am changing my Presario 5330US to a Presario of the 8000 series with 2,4 MHZ/512 MBt DDR/GeForce 4 Ti. Even with my slower processor and SDRAM memory it flickers sometimes while displaying difficult complex scenery. Thanks. Nick Moscow Russia |

The problem with LCD monitors is the ability to refresh the screen, especially when(as you have noted)complex scenes are rendered. For games I have always recommended to clients a good quality high refresh rate low dot pitch CRT display. If you are serious about it look for .26 or lower dot pitch and 120hz vertical refresh rate at 1280X1024 resolution. Your eyes will appreciate it but your wallet may groan a little. |
