After my computer has been on a while, the CD R/W drive starts opening and closing spontaneously. It does recognize and run a CD when inserted. I have an HP Pavilion 7950 running Windows ME. HP told me to send it back to them and they will replace the drive. I hope this will solve the problem but wonder if anyone else has run into this. Thanks for your help. |

there are some virii/jokes that do this too. the joke one is a real hoot, you d/l it to the persons computer, and their tray keeps opening and closing by itself, makes them wonder if it's haunted or something.... anyway, it's either that, a virus, or something's wrong with the pc. |
