I am trying to put together a Soyo MOBO but it won't come on. That is, even on the bench with nothing plugged in except the power supply, when I short the 'start' terminals, NOTHING HAPPENS??? Could this be caused by No CPU, or a bad CPU? |

I am having a similar problem with a computer I'm building. It's a Soyo P43 Dragon Ultra,Pentium 4 2.0 gig,256 mb 333mhz ddr. Even with the m/b out of the case I still don't get video or beeps. All the fans run and m/b lights are on. I've reset the cmo's and reseated both ram and video card. Soyo's web site says to swap the cpu out with a known good one...who can afford that? By the way the cpu is oem boxed with fan. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

It can only be one of two things, either the motherboard or the cpu is bad. Try another cpu or take the cpu you have and try it on another motherboard. |
