I returned the(micro star international) ms 6534 v1.0. I've been trying to figure out why i get no input signal from it at all. I sent it back to the place I bought it, they told me they tested it and it was working fine. They gave me no other information. I have removed the v card(1.5v sis 315 265 bit agp 4x vga 64mb sdram) and memory(sdram pc 133 256mb) to see if i get some kind of system beep but I get nothing. I don't think it is the v card or memory otherwise I would at least get a system beep with them removed. The only information on jumper setting in the manual is to clear the cmos. I did as instructed but i still get nothing from the board. Is there a jumper setting that could be causing the problem? .... I only see three jumpers, one for the cmos and two for the audio. ..... I tried to clear the cmos by setting the switch to the clear data position and turn the system on and off to see if that would clear it, but it did not work. I do have a case that has the p4 connector for the extra power required and the power supply is a powmax 300w. Can anyone out there help me with this, I have been looking for a solution for months now
Please help

after looking at the manual myself, i'd try to double check you connections and bios settings, it looks somewhat standard. if you request what they did, they should give you the info to get it working, that's part of tech support.

what other hardware are you using? um, there'a actually 2 settings; on the modem, audio, in the bios, does yours have the optional modem? as well as if they're jumpers for them, not just 2 for audio.... can you load setup defaults or failsafe?

oh, i got my copy of the manual from http://www.motherboards.org looking for ms 6534, he had a copy of one there.

If there is nothing wrong with your motherboard. I would suggest looking at the cpu for problems. Check to see if the power supply is working too.

win, I have check my connects more than I care to mention, I had the v card, memory, cdrom, ffd, and hhd hook up. I did try for a system beep without anything hook up, but got nothing. I don't think it does have a optional modem. So far I haven't got a signal input, so checking the bios is impossible now. I only see 3 jumper switch on the board, they are green so easy to spot. I will see if I can contact tech support and get some infomation.
Cecil,
according to 3btech the board and the cpu are working. The powersupply seems to be working as well. The fans work and the lights when I turn on the machine.
Thank you both for your time and posts.

Try removing the motherboard from the case and double check the mounting hardware. Make sure there are no extra standoffs or anything else that might be shorting out the board.

Cecil,
I removed the mobo from the case and tried to boot it, to make sure nothing was shorting out the board, I laid the board on the anti static bag to ensure no shorts, but I still got nothing. There are no extra standoffs. I'm emailing 3btech tech support to see if I can get some more info.
Thank you for your time and post.

I am very please to say that a friend of mine was able to get my system running It was the memory. He had another system, that could check the memory. The funny thing about it was the memory was not bad at all, in fact it work fine on the system he tested it on, it's just that the ms 6534 would not work with it. He had the same memory only different brand that work just fine with the ms 6534. He also told me one of the two memory stick is a pc 100 256mb and the mobo works fine. In the manual, they recommend not using the pc 100 chip.
I wanted to let folks know about the solution to this problem. I saw posts that talk about my board, but no solution. I hope that if someone else out there with this board has this problem, this thread will be able to help them.
Many thanks to those of you that took the time to help me with this problem
