Every time when I turn on my computer and monitor the boot sequence shows up on the screen but when windows is loaded, nothing shows up on the screen and the light on the monitor turns orange. This is also nothing to do with stand-by or suspend. Could somebody help me please. Thanks! |

This could be a software problem. What operating system are you running? If it's win98 just press the f5 key during the post and let it bootup in safe mode. If everything seems okay just restart the computer and see if that corrcts the problem. If you have the same problem, bootup in safe mode again and remove the display adapter from device manager and restart the computer again. The device manager can be found in the control panel under the system icon. If that goes okay just reinstall the display adapter. |

After much research on this....and many diffrent approaches...I had a compaq desktop that would do the same thing. I went threw the video card, checked the power supply, the connections I even took out the cmos bat! Last ditch effort....I reseated the memory and GUESS WHAT!!!! Like new! |
