For some time I have been havin trouble with my front panel cable(s). Specifica, the light indicators for computer "ON" and hard disc drive activity don't light up. These cables usually come with the case. My case is generic -- no brand, no web site, etc.-- and I am unable to find the cable I need.

I have done my homework on the Internet, computer stores and repair shops, and so on and so forth. The only way I could find such a cable, I am told, is by checking with shops that repair/upgrade systems to see if they have an old case or computer box with the cable still on it. Unfortunately, the places I have checked have told me that the don't have any old cases because they regularly clean up by throwing them away.

The cable sites I have checked have every conceivable cable, connector, etc. except the front panel one. I even went to Radio Shack to see if I could get help reconstructing my cable. There seem to be some lights that could be used for this purpose, but I no help was available in selecting the correct lights.

Should my switches also break down won't be able to use my computer.

Please help.

It might be just as easy to buy another case. Prices range from $39 and up.
