My Specs: Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Processor: AMD Duron 1.17 GHz Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 Total Physical Memory: 256 MB Free Physical Memory: 115.68 MB Motherboard Manufacturer: MSI Motherboard Model: MS-6561 No matter how high I put my gamma and brightness settings (Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > Colour Correction) When a 3-D part of a game starts i.e: not the menu. the gamma and brightness go back to default settings. (Really dark) My moniter is always on full brightness and if I exit mid-game (Windows Button -OR- Esc+Ctrl) and put the settings up again they just revert when I maximise the window. Is there any reason why this is happening? It's a real problem on dark games like 'Deus Ex' and 'Thief 2'. (Can't see anything!) LexxRat |

I don't know these games, but with most games the brightness control can be found on the menu at the begining of the game. Other areas to find the controls can be found after the game starts, pressing an f key can bring it up. Sometimes there is a setup.exe file in the directory of the game itself that is used to set the brightness and other controls. |
