Hey gang, small problem here, no way I could see short of dissassembly of CPU to install fan type cpu cooler, any ideas or should I just let it be?

If it is a P2 such as those commonly found in older Compaq's you can usually put the cpu in a plastic bag and put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes or so which tends to loosen the thermal adhesive enough to pry the heatsink away from the block. If it is riveted on you can remove the cpu's plastic housing and ream the rivets out. They are made of fairly soft metal and should come out easy enough with a few turns of a screw.
