One year old HP Pavilion 7950. Everything's great. I open Eudora to check email. I close a window and POW! I got the dreaded blue screen. I figure "no problem". I'll just reboot and get right back to it. Happened a thousand times before. Only this time I can't get past the HP logo screen. It won't read the recovery CD and doesn't even check the floppy drive for a DOS disk. I can't even get into setup! What died? What the hell!!!? Please tell me what died. Thanks, Jim |

Cleared up by itself: Unhooked everything and reset it up on a counter top. Turned it on and everything was okily-dokily. Put it all back into place and all is well again. Still -- What the F@#%! It might happen again. What causes that? Thanks, Jim |

Could be flaky memory board or just something loose. Reseat the memory boards and video card. |
