I have a Duron 1.2ghz on a ECS Elite K7SEM. I is recognised in the bios as a 12oo+ BUT when I look into the Performance in the System box of Control panel it reads as 892 mhz. What can I do to correct the problem please? Also can I overclock the Mobo, and if so HOW? |

what os are you running on the motherboard? well, i don't recommend o/c, but it depends on what you want to o/c. this is a low end board with ah.... not much you can do. cas 2 maybe in the bios. it has stability problems with g-force 2, for a few bucks more, you could have gotten a really good board. here's a link anyway for sites you can look at for this type info: http://www.socketa.com/sites/ run down that page for tweaks and read up before you try. you just might end up with a new board if you do it wrong anyway. |

I wonder if the fsb could be set wrong. If the bios shows a amd 1200+ and the operating system shows 892mhz cpu, well that's about right. Only problem is there is no duron 1200+ cpu. The + sign comes with amd xp cpus. The 1200+ is a cpu around 900mhz but is as fast as a pentium 1.2ghz. The bios should see it as a 1.2ghz. |
