My Compaq laptop has a powersupply problem that's preventing me from booting up and accessing important data on the harddrive. I have a "backup" Panasonic laptop. Is there a device I can insert my Compaq's hdd into that will allow the Panasonic to access it as a data source? I'm picturing something similar to an external zip drive that would hold a harddrive instead of a diskette. Thanks, -Adam |

There are external usb housings for laptop drives available and from what customers have told me they are a work saving wonder. |

I thought it seemed that technology should be available; I just hadn't seen it. Thanks for the reply. I have an idea what to look for now. -Adam |

Another way you can save the data on your compaq laptop is by installing that laptop's hard drive in a desktop pc(yes it works)and then moving the data to a cd and then on your toshiba laptop. |
