I recently installed a Star Logic 16x DVD ROM Drive on my Compaq Desktop. The software that came with it is Cyberlink PowerDVD XP 4.0. I can use the CD ROM to read data CD's and Music CD's but can't play Movie DVD's. I looked at the information settings in the software and there is no region code set in the DVD player. How do I set it? I can't find anything in the help screens and both the hardware and software manufacturers aren't responding. |

I would suggest you return the dvd player and get another one. The information settings shows info from the player itself. It has nothing to do with the powerdvd program. |
