Being someone who hasn't got a clue about computers or hardware, Please don't laugh as I ask this question!
How does a CD-WR work?
Can you re-write over pre-recorded cd's?
If so can you keep writing over them?
Thankyou in advance

Hi Sarah, no one will laugh at this question at all as we were all *computer virgin's* at one time or another...the answer is no, you can not write to or rewrite store bought cd's such as music cd's. The only media that can be written or burned as it is sometimes referred to is CDR media or CD/RW media. CDR blank disks are generally burn once but some softwares allow multi session burning to a single disk by not closing out the last track on the disk. CD/RW disks need to be formatted just like any other disk before use and can be written over many times. Hope this answers your question.

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask.
