Hi, I wanted to know if it is possible to network two computer with direct cable connection so that you can access the internet from one account on both computers? -CJ |

No. There are several shareware programs available that will allow you to share an ISP over a peer to peer network (you need a rj45 crossover cable and two 10-base-t or better network cards to do this). Win 98 Second Edition also has ISP sharing (proxy) built in, but you will still need to establish a successful network connection with the aforementioned hardware in order to make it work. There are (I believe) several companies that make kits for establishing such a network. This is an advanced area, so be prepared for some frustration. Good luck |
