I bought a new mobo which needed ddr mem. The new mem didnt work (256). I tried my mates 512 mem which worked nicely. I then put my mem back in along with my mates and lo and behold it worked as soon as i took my mates mem back out it stopped working both mems are from the same manufactuer. Has anyone any ideas if so they would be gratefully appreciated. |

Doug, some memory channels can be darn right picky. While you mention the memory sticks are from the same manufacturer, verify exactly what type it is as 32x16, etc. needs to be the same. You can't take anything for granted. Check at the vendors website to see if you get more info, maybe they're really no the same types regardless of ram amount. -----Willy |
