I have a new computer with a 40x12x48 rewritable cd. I have been led to believe that I could use writable discs as well as rewritable. I have had success using a rewritable disc but can't get the writable ones to work. This is a pretty simplistic question but it is driving me crazy. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong or at least help to aim me in the right direction?

You can use the rewritable disks like a floppy. You can add to and take away from on a regular basis. The writable is only writable one time. After that, you either use it or throw it away.
