On Sunday, I used my computer and it ran fine. It is a newer Windows 98 SE machine. I tried to turn it on yesterday and found that the power switch had been pushed in, so I took off the front cover (not the side panels) and fixed it. However, when I plugged everything (monitor, power, mouse, keyboard, etc.) back in, the monitor wouldn't come on. When I have the monitor unplugged from the machine, the monitor light is green, just as soon as I plug in the monitor, the light goes orange and won't come on. I tried plugging in another monitor to the cpu and got the same result.

Any ideas?

well, have you tried another vid card? you might have accidently dislodged the card. check that all cards and memory are seated properly.

They are not cards, they are all just attached the motherboard. I checked everything inside and it's all tightly fitting.
