have asus p4s533mb w/1.6mhz p4 chip and winxp. tried to overclock through bios on chip speed. bios showed 2114/1600/manual. i set at 2114. system continued boot for two days with normal stability. third day...keyboard lights flashed several times and had no response from kb. kd situation continued through several reboots. now computer will not boot at all. mb light comes on (green led) but no fans will turn or attempt to turn and there are no beeps or other shoulds through the green led continues to burn. changed power supply but situation continues unchanged. pulled all cards from board except agp4x. pulled and reinserted ram (516 pc2700 samsung) cleared (or tried) cmos by jumper and battery removal for over 30minutes. Situation remains same...green led on mb stays lit, no fans running anywhere, no noises from fans or interogations. no posts. No bios access. Wits end.....I need a silver bullet. Any help appreciated. Thanks |

received net intel p4 2.4mhz chip today. Still no response from motherboard except the green mb lcd light comes on. Still no other responses. is it time to buy a new board? Recommendations. |

My system recently failed to boot.Motherboard Tomato ZX-98 440ZX intelchipset,P-3 550Mhz,256MB SdRAM,20GB HDD,nVIDIA 32MB Graphic,CMI-8738 Sound card.On switch on only hard disk light glows,no BIOS screen & beep sound observed.HDD,Graphic card,Sound Card are working in other system.SMPS voltage are ok and processor fan is running.What may be the problems? |
