Hello. I have an old Acer Aspire mobo w pmmx 233 processor. The system used a strange propietary AT like power supply that does not have the normal AT psu switch but instead an aditional 3 cables Black-White-Red in a connector that goes into the Standby power connector. I think the psu is supposed to go ON when grounding the White output but my supply will only start a bit and then shut itself down again, the fan spins a little bit and stops, and the voltages wont reach nominal output.
So , anybody has info on this PSU ? Any help ?

Proprietary yes, AT Form factor possibly, most likely Acer's Hybrid Power supply. Does the Motherboard have an LPX style rizer slot with PCI and ISA slots by any chance?

Yes it has , the mobo is the V58LA, one of the oldest Aspire systems
I used a standart AT and it is running ok.

Cool, did you have to modify it in any way?

lol. No, everything is as from factory w p mmx 233 MHz, I was given the system and the owner never returned.
If I manage to fix the old psu I wont need to make a hole in the case for a regular AT switch.
