I am running Win95 on and old Pentium 133 processor, with 128 MB of ram. I have a Dell Monitor (UltraScan) and a ATI Rage 2 (II) Video card. Recently I've replaced the power supply to the computer and added a hard drive as a slave. My problem is that my screen has been steadily fading away... I've adjusted the brightness until It's as bright as it goes, but my screen is dark. It's still usable, I can see, but if it gets any darker, I won't be able to. What I'd like to know, is what this is likely to be a symtom of and is there a way that a competant but not expert technician (myself) can fix it? Or should I bite the bullit and go to an expert? Any ideas out there for "do it yourself" repair would be greatly appreciated. Thank you |
