Ok, I formated my laptop by accident and have managed to get win 98 back on to it but the cd-rom drive is not reconised. I think i need to download a driver but I have no idea what one. If anyone could help it would be apreciated. here is the cd-rom info

What you have listed is a standard generic driver. With 98 loaded does the cdrom show up in My Computer or in Device Manager? Are there any exclamation marks in Device Manager for PCI IDE controllers or unknown devices? |
