I am installing a new CD-rom into my compaq presario 5000. I am trying to remove the old cd-rom but I can't seem to get it out. There are no screws, just these white tabs things on the sides of the drive but they won't budge. Can someone please help me out. |

Assuming you have already removed the drive from the machine, get a very small flat blade screw driver and pry gently between the drive and the white rails, the tabs used on those are a tight fit but will pull out with some nudging. |
