I am stumped. Here is the story:

I have a Dell Dimension 550LR
I upraded memory - 128 to 256
" "Processor - 5xx to 1 ghz
" "Video card - GeForce MX 440 PCI

Everything worked great, except for one specific program (which worked before the reboot). When I start the program, the computer reboots, no warning.

I have Win 2k SP4
Software is a cpa review course, produced by becker convisor www.beckercpa.com.

I switched all the components back (except the video card) and still reboots. I didn't switch out the video card, I simply deleted the driver and allowed the integrated video in the motherboard pick it up...any thoughts?

Try running the program in compatibility mode for windows 98. Find the exe file in the working directory and right click on it. Check the compatibility box and select win 98. It can't hurt anything if it doesn't work. Just reverse the process.
