hello, I'm planning to buy an MSI - 875P NEO-FIS2R motherboard and a P4 3.06 512kb S478 533FSB cpu, and I was wondering if the cpu at 533fsb will be compatible with the motherboard that supports 800fsb?? I am new to this and any help would be much appreciated thank you. |

The Intel 875P is compatable with 533 FSB P4's. |

f you go to the MSI website they have a listing of all motherboards and the array of CPU's that are compatible. Example: http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=436 .... this shows you one of their motherboards. On the right of the page you see Support. Click on CPU and it tells you all of the compatible CPU's. |

No support for the celeron at all for the P4T according to Asus however a p4 2gig will work with a socket adaptor. |
