When turned on my pc has started displaying the screen that shows the keyboard and mouse is detected but stops there and then says "press DEL to resume". I do and it continues just fine. This just started happening and I've not added any software or hardware. It is an A06 BIOS, Dell Dimension 4100, WinME |

From what you describe, you might need a new CMOS battery. It's the small disc type battery found on the mainboard that allows settings such as clock and date to run when the PC is not powered on. |
