I tried over the phone to direct my daughter to install an ethernet PCIMA Ethernet modem in her Packard Bell laptop running WinME. She got her knickers in a twist and suspects she installed a driver from WinME as opposed to the installation CD. Now we're trying to delete the HW and start again but WinME only seems to have an "Add new HW" icon. Can anyone explain how she can delete the HW and start again?

Sorry, i think i meant PCMCIA Ethernet Modem - the little credit card size that plugs into the side of the modem. |

It has been a while since I dealt with Win Me so bear with me on this one. You might have to boot in safe mode to do it but you should be able to remove or delete devices from device manager directly. |
