Whenever I start up my PC it sounds like its doing morse code. I think it has something to do with my mouse. I don't know much about computors, but I know if I unplug the mouse the noise stops. Sometimes on startup, the mouse (microsoft optical) doesn't appear to be working. If I restart it will come back & start working again, but always with this morse code(continuous monotonous noise)damn annoying!! I have had the mouse checked out where I bought it. They connected it to one of their computors & it appeared to be working just fine. I have also tried uninstalling the software & reinstalling but the noise is still there! Could it have something to do with the adapter? I have a Pentium 111 56K modem Windows 98 64MB RAM Would appreciate any insights to my problem? Thank you Gail |

If the mouse is causing the problems you may have a conflict between the mouse controller and the sound card. If the Mouse is PS/2 (small round connection than you can probably fix it by moving the sound card to a different slot if it is not built onto the mainboard. If the mouse is USB/PS2 than try it in the USB slot. |
