I have an ECS K7S5A Pro motherboard and was wondering if an AMD Athlon 2500 XP will work properly in the motherboard. I have looked at numerous websites that say the motherboard is compatible with Athlon XP processors but do not say which Athlon XP it is compatible with. This is very imporant for me to find out |

According to ECS Websight the 2600+ is supported so a 2500XP should be no problem. |

I checked the ECS website and only found this: http://www.ecsusa.com/products/k7s5a_pro.html Where does it say it supports a 2600? Also, the athlon 2500 has 166/333MHz FSB, and on the ecs page it shows it 266/200MHz FSB. Does that mean that the chip will not work as well as it should or that it might not work at all? Please let me know as soon as possible.
