i have an hp pavilion 523n with 2x/4x agp support
and i was wondering if i should go with the radeon 9800 pro or the 9600 pro
will the 9800 even work on my system?
im trying to get my system ready for half-life 2
right now i have a crapy geforce4 mx440 |

Some HP's don't have a power supply that is capable of carrying the 9800 series. They require a lot of power apart from what the board supply's with the AGP slot so an extra power connector to the vid card is needed. Chances are about 50/50. |

thanks for the info i might buy it and try it if it dosent work ill take it back and get the 9600 |
