I stupidly installed my controller card under my AGP slot....

Now this, my video and sound card all share the same IRQ. Game playing is impossible. I didn't have any problems before installing this card.
I need to move it to different slot, but simply "moving" it makes the card not recognize the drives.

Is there an way I can move the card without losing my OS (WIN XP PRO) and programs?

P.S. I thought about moving the sound card, but I have a new video card with a big heat sink that overhangs the PCI slot below it.
I also tried changing the IRQ's in my bios but I do not have this option.

Thanks

You can reconnect the Hard drive cable to the onboard primary ide controller while working out the PCI IRQ shuffle. That way the O.S. will stay intact and you will be able to boot into XP each time you make a change. If all of your onboard ide controllers are used up just disconnect the cdroms or what ever until you get it sorted.
