hi guys, i got a new pc (A shutle SN14G2) with onboard Geforce 4. The shop tells me it has burnt out (the integrated video chip) and it will be very hard to get a refund, so i was wondering, if i used a Radeon 9600 in my AGP slot and used that instead, would i be able to use it, bypassing the problem? ( i heard integrated video was poo anyway) i really need help, thanks a lot. PS: If it helps, i have 512MB DDR RAM (New) an UNUSED 80GB HDD, and an ATHLON XP processor, if i just plugged all this in, along with that AGP vid card, and connected the monitor cable to the AGP vid card would it just start up without probs? ( i have windows XP installer disk)

Providing the Video problem did not do other damage you should be alright with subbing the onboard with the ATI. |
