Hi. I have a emachines,2300+ amd anthlon xp processor with 40 gb hard drive ultra dma, 128 mb ddr . I know I need to add 256 or 512 memory to it but was wondering if there is anyway in the meantime to use this pc100 64 mb stick I have from an old computer I just took out? Would this work at all? I'm so good with software but the hardware blows my mind. If this will work I could temp put it in but if you say it's not a good idea I will wait till next week to get the 512 that know is compatible from checking a site online. Thanks for your help.. |

SDRAM pc100 will not work or fit in your DDR based mainboard. Right now with prices of DDR at almost half the cost as a year ago you should be able to pick up a 256meg stick of DDR 266mhz for around 20 bucks. |
