I have IDE cable, and a really ancient motherboard and a POS 4 gig hard-drive to TOY with, and when I connect them all, the monitor won't even come on... I hook one IDE cable from the HD to the primary mother board port. Then I hook the second from the CD Drive to the motherboard... And then attach the power supply. Then I attach in the floppy drive.

Am I drawing too much power; and if so... Am I just completely screwed?
