I have a Norcent CDRW 52x24x52. A few months ago the Easy CD Creator 5 Platium gave me an illegal op and wouldn't copy anymore. I uninstalled and reinstalled it. It still did not work. I have tried most versions of Easy CD, and some versions of Nero, and I can't get anything to work. I can't make data cd's or music. When I try to record it says "There are no supported CD-Recorders available." I know the CD-rom itself still works because I can still view files from a CD.

It's been going on months now, and any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using Windows 98. I have a Pentium computer, 166 mhz, 96 ram. I'm not sure what else you need to know.

I have seen this a few times with Norcent burners and usually its time for a new cd burner.

I bought a Sony CD burner that came with BHA software, B's Recorder Gold 5, and I got an error message when I installed and tried to run it, and my computer reboots. The message was a blue screen with a lot of numbers and things on it, but before I can read it the screen closes. My burner was burning from Windows Media Player before I installed this software, so when it kept crashing I unstalled the BHA software. Now when I try to burn a CD the music files are scanned, and say ready to burn, but when I try to burn the music to disc, my burner light flashes three times and closes the disc. I took my burner out of my new computer and put it in my old computer and it worked just fine. I put it back in my new computer and I had the same problems. Can anyone please help me? I have been working on this problem for days now. Thank you much, Jimmie.
