Hi all:

I have a HP Pavillion a255c. Everytime I turn the computer on, it does not boot up right away. The power button lights up. The computer come alive for a minute, then it shuts itself off and starts again (I don't see anything on screen.) It will keep trying to restart itself, but only when I shut the power off and restart the thing will it finally boot up. Often times, I have to shut the power several times before the computer boots up. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks.

Hi
I have a HP Compaq Prescario, AMD Athlon(tm)xp2600+with 2.13 GHz, 224 MB RAM, running on Win XP2000. It is doing the same thing, and I have contacted SUPPORT numerious times to no availe. It also does not recognize a "floppy Disc" when it is inserted. It says "insert folppy disc". I have changed Floppy disc Drive, checked or changed, connectors. Nothing seems to work. The light comes on when floppy is inserted. This computer is still under warranty, if this makes any difference because all you get is "run around".
