I need to put a pci usb card in my Gateway G6 Pent. Pro. The problem is I'm out of free interrupts. I already have both serial ports disabled, to use those irqs. Any suggestions? dunhill |

If you are running windows 98, USB should be able to share interupts with other devices as it supports IRQ sharing. For examply, My USB uses the same IRQ as my network card (IRQ 10) yet both work excellent. For best results, the IRQ shared should be one assigned to a PCI device. Also, some motherboard BIOS's allow you to disable VGA use IRQ, have a check at that. Good luck. |
