Hey all...
I know I am straying from the beaten path here...but I have to replace a HD on a friends laptop, but they have no CDROM or ETHERNET...

I need to put an OS on the machine and some app's...what do you all suggest, and what is easier? The external PCMIA CDROM?

Any suggestions?

Get a laptop HDD adapter, it will let you attach the laptop hard drive to a PC. Cost you about $25. Much cheaper than a PCMCIA CD ROM.

Dump the installation files to the Laptop hard drive, and away you go.
