I am having a strange problem with my Video card. My system is a BE6-II, PIII 500,ATI All-In-Wonder 128 32meg AGP, Samsung 19" 900SL.
When I bootup, everything prior to the Windows logon screen is not readable. Meaning it looks as though the video card is running in the wrong mode and smashed together from the edges of the screen. The text of the post is about 1/2 times larger that it is suposed to be. When I first installed the card it worked 100%, now about 3months into use this issue....Once Win98 comes up, everything is back to normal.

I am running the latest drivers ver 6.31CD25. Any help would be greatly appreciated

The video card POST's long before the drivers ever load. In fact, the Video POST is a purely hardware feature.

If there is any software that is likely to fix this problem, it may lie with an update to your mainboard BIOS.

You may want to check on that, sounds to me like you have an ABIT mainboard, and they are pretty good for revising there current BIOSes on a regular basis.

Short of changing the card, I can't think of anything else at the moment.

You may want to check you BIOS setup to be sure that the correct Video card settings are in place, such as INIT FIRST DISPLAY DEVICE - PCI, and AGP APERTURE SIZE - (WHATEVER YOUR MANUAL TELLS YOU THE ALL-IN-WONDER PREFERS), but I doubt this could cause the problem you described.

Good luck.

One more thought, you may want to reseat your video card in it's slot and make sure you blow out the dust.

Poor connector contact can cause all sorts of different woes like what you described, although usually it results on no video whatsover.

Just another thought.
