Using an Adaptec 1505 card with a Phillips CD RW
I keep getting a scsi target error. What is it and how do I clear it.

Could be one of several things:
Make sure your CDRW is set to ID 0 (assuming it is the only device attached to the SCSI adapter).
Make sure that (again, assuming it is the only device attached to the SCSI adapter) termination is enabled on BOTH the CDRW and the 1505.
Make sure that your SCSI cable is not damaged.
Make sure the cable has pin one oriented correctly on both the drive and the adapter.
Make sure that (if available as an option) your drive is set to "supply termination power to the bus".
If you have more than one device, the rules all change.
If all else fails, return everything to default settings.
If that fails, you may have a defective drive/adapter.
Adaptec's site is one of the best around; it never hurts to poke around there if you want to learn more about SCSI.
