I have broken a pin on a Quantum Fireball 3.2gb hard drive ?

Is there any easy way to repair this?

I had the same thing happen and i very carefuly soldered a wire to the back of the socket and then parted the wire on the ide lead and soldered the other end of the jumper wire to the ide cable.
You have to be very carefuly when you solder to the hadrdrive board.
I did the repair and it's lasted for the last 4 years.
Hope this helps you

Ive broken pins before, and sometimes the drive runs normally.

Have you tried?

And aside fromt that, the above soldering idea is about your only option. Well.. that or you can make a pretty nerdy sorta coffee cup coaster with it.
