I am trying to install a Linksys fast ethernet 10/100 network card in a 120 Mhz Pentium in a Pakard Bell 5330 computer with Win 98 OS. The computer boots up properly with out the card installed. When the card is plugged into a PCI slot the computer will hang at the point when Win 98 is supposed to load. Any help. Thanks in advance.

Check if you don't have a hardware conflict (you don't need windows too have a hardware conflict). If the card has any jumpers, try changing the hardware settings otherwise use the software utility too change these.

I got it working. Conflict with dial-up adapter.
Thanks
