I recently built a computer and had an Aureal 3d Vortex sound card that I put into it. It is a PCI card and brand new....I also put in a PCI network card. The problemis...the computer and windows acknowledges the sound card on startup by asking for new hardware...etc. Well I direct it to the device drivers and it finds them....but it never shows up on device manager...and my sounds never work. my DM shows no conflicts with the 2 a/m PCI cards...in fact it just doesnt show the sound card....any help? |

try switching one of the cards to a different slot. alot of times these problems won't show up because Windows doesn't recognize there being a problem. |
