Hello Sir,
I have a P-|| 350 Mhz processor,32 MB SDRAM ,Windows98 with 36 X Creative infra cd-rom drive. My cd-rom drive is installed on onboard secondary IDE port. My cd-rom drive is not working.Whenever i try to access my cd-rom drive .."E: is not accessible" is displayed.I even tried to reinstall the drive but the problem persists. In the SBIDE.SYS file the error is displayed as"COMMAND LINE ERROR! (O.33) ICM BYPASSED PNP CONFIGURATION MANAGER NOT PRESENT! DRIVE: RESET FAILED DRIVE IDENTIFY FUNCTION FAILED.WARNING:DRIVE HAS UNKNOWN DRQ CMD TYPE ALGORITHM ERROR!INFORM POH SENG FROM APP IMMEDIATELY.
WARNING: NO PCI BIOS DETECTED - CANNOT USE DM". On starting "AUTOMATIC SKIP DRIVER" the error is displayed as "WINDOWS ENCOUNTERED A FATAL PROBLEM WHILE CALLING A PnP BIOS FUNCTION.THE SPECIFIC FUNCTION THAT CAUSED THIS PROBLEM IS : GET STATICALLY ALLOCATED RESOURCE INFORMATION.THE REFERENCE FOR THIS PROBLEM
IS :0A 00 00 00 68 02 E8 00."Sometimes (very rarery) on booting windows, when the cd is already in the drive , abruptly the cd-rom drive starts working.Once the cd is removed and again loaded....the drive again stops funtioning! Is there some problem with the BIOS? Please help me.I am unable to solve this problem.
Waiting for your reply,
Bhushan Thakkar.
