Hello, my friend has a computer with Win ME on it. I was trying to help her get her printer working last week and changed some of the printer settings. The computer hasn't started since then.
It gives this error:
An I\O subsystem driver failed to load. Either a file in the .\iosubsys subdirectory is corrupt, or the system is low on memory.
We can't start it using safe mode, step-by-step, nothing seems to work.
The troubleshooting tips I've seen at other sites talk about fixing problems from windows, but we can't even get to windows to try and fix anything.
Please help.
Thanks,
Jenny

this is 6 days late but if it helps

here you can find the executable for creating a win me start up disk if you don't have one

it can be used for formating and re installing if it comes to that
