I am running Windows 95, installed Plus! 95, installed IE4 to get the desktop update, and then upgraded to IE5.
It's very annoying that the sounds that play when clicking and scrolling though the Start Menu have disappeared! I know that the particular sounds are- Menu Popup, and Menu Command. They are still assigned with menu sounds, but simply do not play. I've gone through the registry and all the sounds are still set up as they should be, but still no menu sounds....
Anyone have any ideas?

I bet if you keep going and upgrade your PC to a win98E you'll solve that problem and prevent any future ones. sorry the only answer I have is to throw money at it. but that is exactly what we have to do if we want to work with computers. I think Gates should stop creating new software operating systems and just make what we have work the way it should. It shouldn't keep costing us money when we buy lemons.
