This may sound crazy, but I can't connect to the internet thru aol. I can open up aol's home page,
send and receive E mail. That's it. I can get to the web thru I.E. I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem.....
I uninstalled & reinstalled AOl's dial up adapter.
I uninstalled & reinstalled aol's software (6.0)
I tried repairing I.E. I even did a dirty reinstall of windows. I also went to my network neighborhood, deleted all of my tcp/ip settings, and reinstalled them. I went to the registry, and deleted the file on aol, and let windows rebuild the data.

My wife and kids use aol, and found it easy to use....... My wife is not a computer person, and finds aol easy & convenient, otherwise I would have changed isp's a long time ago...

I don't want to have to reformat my h/d, because I have a lot of data to save... Don't want to spend the money on new h/d or second drive. I'd rather put that money towards a second computer...

Does anyone have any ideas??

I called aol tech support (they have a huge file on my complaint, but admit they don't know how to fix it).

You need to upgrade your AOL, did you upgrade your OS? I had the same problem when I upgraded to win 2k.
