I have a PC clone, 800mhz duron, Asus A7V Motherboard, 128MB memory, ATI RageFury Pro Video Card, Sound Blaster 128 sound card, Zoltek 56K v.90 PCI modem. My computer freezes everytime I am on-line ( Internet Explorer 5 ) and sometimes when using an application like MS Word, when I am playing music on Real Player. I updated the drivers for my monitor and video card.
This is all IDE no SCSI. Shouldn't I be able to surf the web and play music at the same time ???
Please help me !!!!!!!

hi

does it freeze when surfing and not playing music?

did you check for resource conflicts(irq,dma,i/o) particularly between your modem and soundcard

do you have the latest sound drivers

if you don't see anything there for the above

try repairing ie5
go to control panel> add/remove programs>hi-lite ie5> click the remove button and select repair ie click ok and follow the prompts
