I have a PC clone, 800mhz duron, Asus A7V Motherboard, 128MB memory, ATI RageFury Pro Video Card, Sound Blaster 128 sound card, Zoltek 56K v.90 PCI modem. My computer freezes everytime I am on-line ( Internet Explorer 5 ) and sometimes when using an application like MS Word, when I am playing music on Real Player. I updated the drivers for my monitor and video card. This is all IDE no SCSI. Shouldn't I be able to surf the web and play music at the same time ??? Please help me !!!!!!! |

hi does it freeze when surfing and not playing music? did you check for resource conflicts(irq,dma,i/o) particularly between your modem and soundcard do you have the latest sound drivers if you don't see anything there for the above try repairing ie5 go to control panel> add/remove programs>hi-lite ie5> click the remove button and select repair ie click ok and follow the prompts |
