I have just installed WinXP Professional, and it was a clean installation, thus eliminating a lot of problems for me, or so I presume.

Either way, I like it so far, but I really hated IE 6. My wife is an avid game player especially on pogo.com, and even with the VM installed, I get an instant shutdown/reboot when she tries to play games there. At the rate that she is not getting her "fixes", it is either XP goes, she goes, or I go. The latter preferred.

I tried downgrading to IE55, but it would not allow me to. Any idea, anyone?

As far as I know with XP and IE6, what you have is what you get. You could try an alternative browser, Opera comes to mind.

Thanks for the info E.S.

Tried Opera, but kept getting "Java corruption" error. Guess I will just tell her to go back to Win 98 and deal with it.

I shall attempt this again when I upgrade my computer.

Cheers.
