Please help somebody! When booting up my computer gets to the point where it says starting windows 95 and will not proceed any further. When I hit reset it advises me that windows was stopped improperly and suggests starting in safe mode. If allowed to it will go into safe mode but if normal is selected it will get to the same point of starting windows 95 and hang up. I don't know what to do and i feel like a rat in a maze. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

look for a driver problem, best bet, might be something in device manager. if you find an exclamation mark, make not of it, and/or delete it, as well as ghosted items, have the location of your drivers handy, if you don't have the install disc for your hardware. then try to reboot normally, and hope it redetects the devices and reinstall the drivers, if you don't have the install disc, you just point windows to the directory that has the file it is requesting. usually, windows, and windows\system. this may do the trick, unless you have something more going on.

Thanks win!!!!!!!!! Apparently when I added a new monitor the reference to the old one became what you call a ghost. I deleted the ghost and am sailing again. Kudos Baby!
