Over the past month I have been unable to download any files from the internet. I have tried several different sites and all come up with the same result. A message appears: "Internet explorer cannot download (the file) from (the domain). Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." I'm running IE5.5 on Win95. Any suggestions? |

Might try a repair of IE by going to add remove programs in control panel and choosing IE and when you press the add/remove button it will give a choice of repair. Also if that doesn't work a check for updates at the Microsoft site for 5.5 could have a pill to stop 5.5 from being ill. You could also upgrade to 6 which seems to work well. Kevin |

No luck unfortunately. Would it have anything to do with my ISP or some sort of virus or trojan? |

Thanks for trying. But this doesn't help either. It's on the right track but my problem has nothing to do wit secure sites. I checked all the settings just in case but they were all correct. Any other ideas? |

Did you try upgrading to a higher version? Maybe also try Netscape to make sure it is not some weird problem with your IP. Kevin |
